The renovation of this kitchen in Historic Roswell, GA, entailed a substantial transformation, transitioning from an outdated and dimly lit space into a contemporary and functional area.
Here are the key elements of this renovation: The first significant change involved extending the cabinetry to reach the impressive 10 1/2-foot ceiling, effectively increasing storage capacity. The installation of high-end Thermador appliances, including a pro range top, steam oven, oven, microwave drawer, hidden dishwasher, and concealed fridge, elevated both the kitchen’s functionality and visual appeal.
A well-considered color scheme played a crucial role in the renovation, with SW Snowbound chosen for the primary cabinets and Evening Dove for the island, creating a sophisticated contrast. Convenience was emphasized with the incorporation of a dedicated pet station within the island and a discreet coffee station behind bi-fold doors, preserving an uncluttered countertop.
Addressing challenges, such as limited storage, lack of an eat-in area, a suboptimal sink placement and a place for the beloved pets. One cool feature is the placement of the doggie eat in area in the island. The redesign also focused on integrating the kitchen seamlessly with the dining and living room areas. The addition of brass light pendants added elegance and warmth to the overall design.
In summary, this kitchen renovation in successfully blended functionality with aesthetics, providing a modern, inviting, and efficient living space that met the homeowner’s needs and preferences.
